Knowing what we should do with our lives is a problem for many people. We have so many choices. The progress of technology is so fast, that many think it’s just useless to get in the race so we just remain where we are although we’re not satisfied. It’s really all about the perspective we’re taking. We can adopt a perspective that will keep us focused, contributing to a better world and satisfied. If you put in about four hours five days a week, you can become a millionaire. It’s the consistency and singleness of Purpose that will put you there. Think of how much time you spend on your cell phone. Is it four hours a day or more? Carefully consider how you spend your precious time.
Find Your purpose
“The wealthy in the Kingdom of God are supposed to use their resources to help advance the Gospel of the Kingdom”.
Dr. Francis Myles
So, the question is: What should I do to become a millionaire? Primarily you want to choose something that interests you deeply. You’ll need a strong interest and commitment to your Mission/Purpose to help you persevere when things get rough and uncertain. Therefore, it’s worth taking a serious amount of time thinking about it. What did God put you here to do? You can be sure it wasn’t just to make enough money to exist. It will be something that you enjoy doing and have the right disposition and talent for.
This is something simple you can do to get to your Purpose//Mission in the Kingdom:
- Study your Bible consistently. The Wisdom of the Ages will make you successful.
- Pray and ask Holy Spirit for ideas and direction.
- Follow God’s will as He points it out to you. His will fits your desires and abilities.
- Let His revealed Purpose for you direct all that you do in life and business.
This guide was written by Kevin Payne ( Marketing Consultant). He represented the process in a unique way.
We can describe it this way: We can do what we love and what we’re good at because it’s something the world needs and we can get paid for it!
We have found our Purpose/Mission!
“Business experts make the case that Purpose is a key to exceptional performance, while psychologists describe it as the pathway to greater well-being. So a strong Purpose has business and psychological advantages. Doctors have even found that people with Purpose in their lives are less prone to disease. Purpose is increasingly being put forth as the key to navigating the complex, volatile, ambiguous world we face today, where strategy is ever changing and few decisions are obviously right or wrong.”Craig and Snook “ From Impact to Purpose”
Purpose keeps you grounded and moving in a single direction.
If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. Job 36:11
Create and Hold a Vision
“The first step toward creating an improved future is developing the ability to envision it. Vision has no boundaries and has no limits. Our Vision is what we become in life.”
Tony Dungy
Your Vision is your perception of your life in the future. You must actually see yourself as a millionaire. I’ll admit, this is going to take some practice for most of us. Praying is the best way to strengthen this Vision. Once we find our Purpose, we will have plenty of ideas to visualize and pray for. We can visualize our businesses, our family, the people we will serve, our surroundings, our investments and other wealth related things.
Your Vision will help to clarify your Purpose and explain what you want to contribute to the world. It will be a great reference point for the decisions you make concerning your everyday activities. The main role of a Vision is to help you create a map toward your millionaire status. “Your Vision is what you will become in life.”
We need Visionaries now! Our culture is far behind in economic gain and creative contribution to the world. It’s time for us to use our unique God-given abilities to make the world a better place. All we need is imagination and focused activity. The genius of the world is at our fingertips waiting for us to improve on what has already been accomplished. We owe our talents and creativity to the Kingdom.
How’s your imagination? Have you imagined an ideal situation lately? Can you visualize a solution to a critical problem we are facing now? If you haven’t, just try imagining something wonderful in your environment. It’s fun. Think ideally like children do and make that Vision a reality! You’ll be surprised.
A Primary Directive
“If you want to be successful, solve a problem.”
Myles Monroe
Let’s go a little deeper in helping you identify Purpose. There is a time-tested way to explore the paths to wealth. “If you want to be successful, solve a problem.”Think of something that is inconvenient for you or that takes up too much of your time. Are their products or processes that irritate you? Are there products or services missing in your neighborhood? Are there products or services that people in general are not getting that should be available to all? Solve a problem that’s important to you by envisioning a solution and working toward a successful outcome.
Here’s a thought….
“To make a million dollars, help a million people.”
Peter Diamandis
As you consider the business or service you want to get involved in, we’ve established that you want to choose something that interests you deeply. You’ll need a strong interest and commitment to your Mission/Purpose to help you persevere when things get rough and uncertain. A primary directive has been adequately stated by Myles Monroe, “If you want to be successful, solve a problem” and “Business is born when you solve a problem.”
This is an expanding and timeless phenomenon among entrepreneurs of today. They are working to contribute something meaningful to the world and building wealth for themselves as well. Find your Purpose. Solve a problem!
“Find that thing that you are passionate about, that you will do day or night whether someone pays you or not…because if you have that, you will have gold.”
Peter Diamandis
